Structures of the Everyday

The Structures of the Everyday module will benefit faculty and students in architectural lecture courses such as Materials and Methods of Construction and Architectural Structures. In this unit the student will be exposed to structural steel shapes, their properties and applications. Also in this teaching tool, students will see the different structural steel systems such as space frames, beams, open web joists, columns, braces, and lintels. There is aslo an example of a curtain wall to steel frame connection and an overview of connections from one member to another.
