The American Institute of Steel Construction is soliciting nominations for its 2025 awards that honor outstanding designers.

Each year, AISC presents Lifetime and Special Achievement Awards to exceptional industry professionals, designers, and educators. The 2025 winners will receive special recognition before the whole industry at NASCC: The Steel Conference in Louisville, Ky., April 2-4, 2025.

J. Lloyd Kimbrough Award 

The J. Lloyd Kimbrough Award, AISC's most prestigious design honor, recognizes engineers and architects who are universally recognized as the pre-eminent steel designers of their era and have made an outstanding contribution to the structural steel industry through his or her design work. It is named for AISC's first president, who led the organization from 1921 to 1926.


Lifetime Achievement Awards

Lifetime Achievement Awards honor living individuals who have made a difference in the success of both AISC and the structural steel industry as a whole. This award provides special recognition to people who have provided outstanding service over a sustained period of time to AISC and to the structural steel design/construction/research community.


Special Achievement Awards

Special Achievement Awards recognize singular achievements in design, construction, education, and research that have made positive and substantial impacts on the structural steel design and construction industry.
