Consensus Body Procedures

AISC’s standards are developed by consensus bodies that follow procedures that have been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The procedures are available for download  AISC Consensus Body rosters with names and affiliations of members are available upon request.

AISC-AISI Terminology Coordination

The AISC Committee on Specifications and the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) formed a joint Committee on Terminology to standardize common terminology used in the design of steel structures. A copy of the most current Committee on Terminology report, AISC and AISI Standard Definitions for Use in the Design of Steel Structures, 2007 Edition, is available for download.
