AISC Looks Back at the 1950s

As AISC looks forward to the next 100 years of bringing together the structural steel industry, we're also looking back at the decades that defined both AISC and the world in general, starting from the very beginning.

The post-World War II era of the 1950s was defined by struggles for civil rights, technological innovation, and worldwide conflicts over Communism. As the United States entered the “Space Race” and rock n’ roll songs hit the top of the charts, steel skyscrapers rose in the sky.
